I thought I remembered you saying that. Shingles are different they take a hot mix to be effected.

I’d be very careful with spraying HW on that siding. You could very well end up exposing raw wood if that mold has eaten through it enough. If any or all of that black turns to white, you’re painting a house.

I usually do fine on those with a solution of sodium metasilicate (ex: Krud Kutter House Wash). Apply, let sit, light power wash to rinse. If the mold is “on” the paint, the dark with wash right off. If the mold is “in” the paint, it either won’t wash off or it will wash off and expose some base wood underneath. For that reason, I’d do a small sample cleaning first so that all know what to expect.
