Not pulling water

not all belt driven pumps can suck water.
Use gravity

Just bought me a stainless steel swivel and some ss quick connects for my ball valve. Fighting that cheap crappy Simpson hose was VERY frustrating:joy::joy: i honestly didnt know that stuff would be so stiff not to mention rolling up 100foot of it by hand im exhausted. Im returning the other 100 foot of it i didnt use and keeping the 100 i used today as a very last resort backup hose…

The sooner you get good hose and reels the sooner you will be happy and more efficient. Its a game changer to have reels VS rolling hose. You mentioned a swivel. I tried the ones from Northern. out of 3 none have lasted more than about 10 hours without leaking

Attach the hose directly to the valve and you can remove the weight of the quick disconnects

Any pics of this. Im heading to lowes tomorrow to figure out a mount. Id like to do like you said and a pic would help

Here is a few pics of mine mounted in the lid.

Tip end should be male for safety reasons

Really did not know that. It just makes attaching wands and surface cleaner alittle easier.

Looks great is that just a 1inch pipe ran through or is it 2 pieces?

Easier and convenient your hose male end to female, and male at exit of ball valve

Its just a single piece of 1” pipe with a female adapter on top and a male adapter on the bottom. My tank already had a vent in the top so I just removed the vent and used the hole that was already there. I had to sand the 1” a little to get it go go through the hole and even then its tight. But worked good.
