Have 6gpm 12v pump plumber 1/2 to pentair style proportioner. Barely hitting 3 stories. Would like to hit 4 from the ground. Read remco isnthe way to go. I’ve seen thir 14gpm as well as the super 16 24v styles. Don’t really want to replumb/ replace 1/2 set up if I dont have to. Any insight would be appreciated

No 12v or 24v pump is going to reliably deliver chemicals to 4 stories. You’re just asking for something that is beyond the capability of the system you’re working with. That’s 40-50’ height and combined with horizontal setback the stream distance is even further. An AR30/AR45 won’t even do that, possibly on max PSI setting but at that point you are turning chemical into aerosol and its going everywhere. You need some sort of high pressure system like a Mo Flo can hit 4-5 stories but it will run about $7,000.

Any system you get in that ballpark is going to be relatively high GPM and require re-plumbing. For instance I run 3/4" on individual branches and then 1" from proportioner to my AR30 and that is strongly recommended for supply plumbing.

Agree with @CleanWNC ; no to 12v, no to 24v, no to air diaphragm pumps…

Realistically, you’re looking at a 120v or more likely a 240v-rigged 3-phase multi-stage pump to reach that high with anything other than sneeze-like mist. Your 1/2" proportioner and plumbing will definitely need an upgrade.

What about in the 3 story department? Pump recommendations? Even if I have to replumb

You’re more in range with the P40/AR30/AR45 now but managing overspray is going to be very important and wind is going to 100% shut you down. And you would definitely have to plumb 3/4" and preferably 1" on main branch. Discharge can still be 1/2" its fine maybe even preferable with the AR30 (vs 5/8 or 3/4" if you’re concerned with distance).

What are you cleaning? I don’t really think you should be trying to push reach with higher percentage of bleach…you’re asking for trouble imo. It just seems like a liability I wouldn’t want to take on. I’d rather pass that risk to somebody else and stay with the simple/lucrative stuff. The longer I roof clean the more I realize the real good part about the gas pumps is the GPM they put out, less time for me on the roof or on the ladder vs the 12v, its NOT the extra reach they give (although that does occasionally help).

Not a 12v but i can hit 3 stories with belt drive 9.5gpm 25hp. Straight sh and surfactant, gold standard inj, regular jrod. Cleans metal roof with oak canopy no problem.

I have a couple quotes out for apartment style comples such as this. I just want to be covered if they get accepted. I have a 4gpm machine and a 5.5 12v softwash ( basically residential set up) any recommendations would

Oh, you don’t need a 12v of gas pump for those. You can downstream them. The 4gpm won’t have as good reach as a higher GPM machine. I’ve never used a pressure washer that small but there’s a better reach boost with an 8GPM vs a 5GPM. Maybe it’s time to upgrade?

I hope you get the job man! Those look great, would love that on the books.
