New Rig Soon!

Going to be buying a 6x12 enclosed trailer with a walk on roof. I’m excited. This means I can invest in a buffer setup, and a larger chem tank… if anyone out there wants to give me any good ideas to make this thing legit, I’m open to it… i know at the least I’m going to have to figure out how to vent the exhaust from my machine out to the back end or the side door. I also heard something about a bypass for my buffer tank that let’s me replenish water without over heating my pump ? I will be doing some research on all of this but like I said, any suggestions or personal experiences from you pros would be great ! If I learned anything from being here its; to do things right the first time so you dont bankrupt yourself lol. I will be buying the trailer brand new and wanting to make it super nice, so I dont have to keep upgrading things down the line. Oh and I’m def thinking of mounting a 12v pump somewhere that’s setup for a roof wash system. I’m excited !

Why enclosed?

Practicality, Versatility of the trailer, and I live in an apartment, dont have a garage to store an open trailer rig. Live in a city where theres lots of property crime, dont want anything stolen. Plus I can keep it up at my main job, my boss is ok with that, because hes my primary investor in my business. Plus as long as I winterize everything I can keep everything setup right in my trailer, and just go right into next season ready for war lol.

Here’s one Brodie did for someone a few months back. It’s setup with 4 machines but the process will be similar even when using one or two machines. There are quite a few other builds and ideas on here too.

Thanks marine. That looks pretty cool. My main concern tho is how I’m gonna vent my exhaust. Everything else should be pretty cut and dry with two machines. Im gonna have the two machines and a roof setup in mine.

Just vent the exhaust right out the side near the machine.

I’m planning on building a 16 or 20 foot enclosed trailer in the next year or two. I want enclosed for the security and not having to take up room in my shop in the off season. It’s also a walking billboard!

I will have a generator on mine and when I’m working a job I’ll start it. I plan on mounting a swirl cage fan in the peak at the front blowing backwards. This will carry exhaust and heat out the rear of the trailer. If I end up adding a hot water system I’ll vent through the roof.

I found where I’m getting my trailer and they sell them
down in Georgia for a great price. They will add side “concession” doors for about $400 for 4x8

Mounting my reels curbside so when I lift the door they are right where I need them.

That sounds cool actually, the whole concession door / window, with the reels curbside… the only thing I dknt like with a curbside setup is you have to run your hoses over the city grass and then the sidewalk, and that to me I just don’t like. Because you need 50 foot of hose just to get from the curb to the house before you even start washing, and then you got douchebags traveling down the sidewalk that will ride bikes and walk all over your expensive hoses. (At least where I live, because its ghetto lolll) but all of my customers at least up until now have been more than willing to let me pull in or back into their drive or pull onto their lawns (bigger homes) to drop my tailgate and pull my hoses… I’m sure that will change when I start pulling a trailer but at the least I can maybe back into their driveways. I’m sure allot of people here would say it’s more respectful to park on the street and I get that, but 99% of customers that call YOU for a service won’t care if you pull or back into their driveways… if not what the heck are they calling us for, ya know ? Haha, “yeah I want my house cleaned and ill pay you but keep your butt off my property” lol.

Way I see it, you can be behind someones house on the other side and some jerk walking by could steal from your truck or kill your engine on you just to be a douche (in the area I live, in the city limits, tons of scum bags like that)

Pulling a trailer is a new ballgame. Enclosed trailers usually ride low to the ground and backing into 50% of driveways is not an option as they will scrape and bottom out. A slight incline will stop you. Hoses will be fine walked on and I can’t see a bike doing any damage at all. I always park curbside with my truck and never move it using 200 ft of hose.

I suppose your right about that tho! Sloped driveways will bottom that sucker out !

Never pull into a driveway unless you have no choice.

Everything accessible from the curb side, you avoid having to stand in the road and avoid oil leaks on the driveway, etc. plus, you’re advertising.

The other day I had a pump sprayer of oxalic slide out from under the strap and lay on its side. I loosen the tops to let the pressure out and 99 times out of 100 tighten them back down. Not this one. Left a gallon of oxalic on the asphalt from the slots between the trailer boards.

Could you imagine if that was a driveway? I still get heart palpitations thinking about it.
