I went and bought 10% SH how much bleach should i put in if i have 3 gallons of water in there? Someone told me 1 part bleach to 3 parts water. I just wanted to make sure first. Thanks for the help!

Make sure you throw the back pack sprayer away before you are tempted to put bleach in it and use it in washing a house

I’ll bite.

2.5gpm is way too small for anything serious, 4gpm is the minimum. Try and find one first before continuing. I know this first hand, been there done that.

If you’re seriously wanting to get into pressure washing for income I would highly recommend doing some more reading and researching before you attempt a job. It’s not rocket science but you can easily damage someone’s property or hurt yourself if you don’t know what your doing.
The backpack sprayer is a bad idea because you don’t want bleach running down your back if you have a leak in it.
Peoples mix ratios are often kept secret like a chefs special recipe. You won’t have much look with anyone willingly giving you a good mix ratio. Also, different surfaces take different strengths of ratios to properly clean them and don’t forget about soaps.
The pressure washer you have in my opinion is to small to efficiently clean with. You may be able to do it but it’s nit going to be fun.
The good news is you found this place and you really want to learn how to wash this is the place to be. I knew nothing when I started and learned just everything I know from reading different post on this forum.
Good luck.

dont listen to these guys. what you want to do is go online and buy yourself a flux capacitor, it is essential to any professional pressure washing business. You’re going to hook it up t your back pack sprayer, and the capacitor will create the perfect ratio to spray on the house.

@juan4690 You must make sure you adjust the skim on your flux capacitor, otherwise it’ll run to lean, and if you don’t have one yet get a hose stretcher never know when you might come up on one of those jobs you need a couple extra feed a hose that hose stretcher will pay for itself tenfold!

You can get it at O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Type ‘121G’ in the search box. That’s the part number .

  1. Most here are pretty much smarta$$

  2. Develop a thick skin immediately

  3. Use the search feature (should be #1)

  4. Instead of getting butthurt, read and learn

  5. 90% of everything you need to know about this industry is right here in black and white

  6. The other 10% you will have to pay for or learn through blood sweat & tears

  7. If you feel someone is giving you false information, use common sense and refer to #1

  8. 4GPM is bare minimum to do most of this work, it can be done with less, and you can walk from New York to Los Angeles, but you might die before you get done

  9. You will have to become a plumber, a mechanic, an electrician, a chemist, a welder, a laborer, a banker, a mathematician, and a detective to thrive in this industry.

  10. Learn your worth, and the value of your service, and charge appropriately.

Most important is the information you will find while searching for the answer to your questions. You’ll find information you had no clue you needed. :+1:
