Hello PWRA! I have been reading through these forums for months now before even joining and learned and laughed SO MUCH!
A little about me:
I am from Pearland, TX(south of Houston)
Started my business about 3 months ago
Working with a 4gpm/4k Honda gx390, slowly building my trailer according to what i read here.
Have completed about 14 jobs, all good so far with only a few complications and A LOT learned.
Sooo yeah, Hello PWRA!

Welcome.
As someone who is currently trying to get started in a similar situation, can you tell me your experience getting insured?
So far ive been told:
“you cant work on commercial properties”
and
“we cant insure you if you only work weekends. you need to work more often”
So they cant insure you because you are a low risk because you work part time? Seems like the ideal customer.
So far I have gotten 2 quotes, 1 from Hiscox, and 1 from Walters. Since im only doing residential the quote wasnt too bad. Do you have a legit business entity?
Not yet.
What woukd you do if a commercial property offered you good money to clean for them? That is my main concern with going with strictly residential.

I would form a simple Sole-proprietorship, cost like $25. Then you can get insurance.
