New machine question

Yes, I am not mechanically inclined. Just received my first PW (4gpm/4000 Belt general pump). There is a note telling me to put oil in. I removed oil cap and there is no dipstick. There is in the picture in the instructions. Am I an idiot missing something or is my oil cap missing a dipstick?

Also, how am I supposed to get oil in that right space?haha. Do I need to get a real long filter?

Ok I found another oil cap on the back that has the dipstick. Dammit, I told you I’m not mechanically inclined.

But now your a little more mechanically inclined. You leaned a valuable lesson. Look and try to make sense out of what you see.

If both side had no dipstick you could fill the oil to the top of the threads and be safe to run.

You should have seen how proud I was when I figured out how the quick connects worked. Baby steps…

You can go to YouTube and type in “oil change gx390” and there’s a bunch of videos to show you not only how to drain the oil but how to put new oil in. I always tilt the machine and a bit and use a funnel with a tube you can bend

Thanks man, eventually found that one haha. Curious, what ratio do you pull chemical with yours? I did the tests and it seems to be between 8/1 and 9/1 which is better pull than I expected I would get.

You putting in on a trailer or truck bed?

Truck bed for now. Hopefully trailer relatively soon.

Getting hose reels and ladders next week.

Nice setup. Do you have ramps to get it in and out of the truck bed, or is it a pretty permanent now? I need to get some ramps since it can’t be be permanent yet.

I got 250 foot of non mark grey hose and 200 foot of flexzilla. No plans of taking it out of truck but if i do ever need to ill just lift it off. Its not crazy heavy for me just awkward because the center of gravity is way off on it.
