New Build Starting Soon

Have you had a chance to look over the last post you created? Lots of answers and a few questions lol

Slow progress (had to learn how to weld and then how to grind and how to re-weld :smirk:). Here’s a pic from last week - have added additional top rails to support back side of hose reels (to be mounted upside down).

Should have everything finish painted tomorrow and then on to mounting hose reels as soon as paint is dry.

In the meantime, I now have a company name (Awake Power Wash), logos, and shirt and truck wrap designs…

Anywhere you have a gap in the weld, you are going to get rust. Spend an hour when you think you are done with everything and fill in gaps. Take your time painting. two good coats of red primer before you paint it. multiple thin layers.

I like the name. My Dad’s biz is ‘Awake Maintenance’

Is that a Signs2day logo?

The logo (and truck wrap) were designed by a local media/marketing company named TMRRW Media. The shirts were designed by Fin-Print.

I had lots of ideas for names but want the URL to match and this is what I settled on. I’m happy with the name.

Truck is wrapped!

I have this valve (2”) as the main shutoff at the outlet of my 250 gal buffer tank.

Anyone know the proper way to mount/lock the valve body to the trailer so it doesn’t move around when travelling or when being operated? There looks to be holes right at the valve but these do not pass all the way through the valve body. Brand is Jomar, if that helps.

I guess I could rig up some sort of straps or something but what do you do? Pics would be helpful.

I am no videographer but here is a quick video I did this afternoon showing my trailer.

Any questions or suggestions?

Very nice! Where did you get those chem tanks? I see you have SH loaded up are you out doing jobs now?

Tanks are from https://www.greenlea.net/ (in Mt Elgin) - lots of sizes and styles when I was there.

I’m currently looking for jobs to do…

Thanks! Marketing is all you have left to do if you haven’t already started. Being a pwra member gives you access to a bunch of templates for flyers to get out. FB market places and paid ads are also a good way to get yourself out there. I’m sure you’ll have a good year next year.

And if you haven’t already, go out and wash as many friends and family members stuff as possible. Take before and after pictures so you have them for marketing purposes. It’ll help you gain some confidence, hands on experience, and you’ll get use to your new set up/equipment.

Looks great @ChrisG-Canada! One thing I noticed that I’m sure many will agree with is that you have quick connect on your kuritec hose for direct application. You would be much better off to have one constant length of hose. Those fittings will eventually leak and a leak of 3-4% (or more) solution will do some damage in a hot minute. Other than that, it looks very clean and professional. Add some HUGE signs to it and go after it!

Watch out for that one, it can get you banned as well. FB TOS are not allowing you to sell services on FB Market place, only products. Someone could report your posts and after a several hits you might get issues.

Market place doesn’t allow it. I was talking about buy and sell groups. Some of those also don’t allow it but if you live in a good sized area there should be quite a few you can post in
