Yes. Don’t leave supply hose on reel.

Didn’t want to drop 3x coin on flexzilla just yet. Gonna be heavy but I just picked up 3 of these.

I have 100ft harbor freight comm special hose. I believe its 3/4, they only sell this one in 100ft. It had a twist about 4ft from the end that won’t go away, but that’s about it. Don’t use it often and takes the space of 200ft 3/8 press hose.

No, I know a place here that sales it by the foot… It’s actually the Goodyear manufacturer… He will sale direct :+1:t3:

I was going to link the tractor supply listing for what I was talking about, but it gets pretty poor reviews. Apparently the ends have a tendency for early failure.

As far as the softer hoses flattening on the reel, what I do is I have a ball valve at the house end of my hose that I close before disconnecting from the spigot. This keeps the hose pressurized so it doesn’t collapse. It has the added benefit of eliminating drips if I have to hookup in a basement or to a clothes washer tap. I make sure and bleed off some pressure from the hose before reeling it in, since the pressure will increase as it gets wound around the reel.

I made the mistake of getting the 3/4" Flexzilla 100’, should have gone 5/8". Regardless I find most of the time a 50’ Zero G-style hose is plenty, and I don’t need a hose reel for it. I did get a 25’ as well just in case.

The 100’ has been used maybe three times this year?

Why did you get the 3/4". Heavy as heck. I have some I would have cut you a deal on.

Don’t ask lol. I was new and ■■■-u-med the 3/4" would flow better when I was hooking up to my direct drive 4/4 machine. It’s a relic from my startup last year.

I have 200’ of Flexzilla on the reel and another 75’ coiled and hung up. I never use less than 75’ just get to the house from the curb. I carry 500’ of pressure hose and regularly use 250’+.
