Need Help with buying the proper soft wash system for under $2,000

Greetings to all. New member here but I certainly have been enjoying everyone’s posts over the last six months. We can never get enough information in life so I truly enjoy learning.

My question is this and please I want the gods to honest truth from everyone. Have a small window cleaning business and want to get into the soft washing business. My question is this I’m looking for a system for under $2,000 not including battery, battery charger or tank. Have some experience with power washing and soft washing so I’m not one hundred percent in the dark. I played around with SH but I will be honest because I know someone’s going to ask I’ve never gone beyond ten point o s h.

why yes there’s a huge difference between 10 and 12.5 I’m fully aware of that. It’s all about baby steps.

So the systems I’ve been looking at are the following.
Maverick
Fatboy bandit
Water dragon generation 3.

I’m looking for advice so please go easy on me but be truthful and honest because that’s why I’m reaching out I need your help.

Just to give you guys a little bit of information I will be using a Nissan NV SV 200 minivan. Payload is i1450 lb not the most in the world but it will hold a hundred gallon tank and a system. Any advice would be great and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Do you have a pressure washer?

Yes two
3300 PSI
4200 PSI
Downstream injector from pressure Tek.

I’m guessing the 4200 is a 4gpm. What’s wrong with downstreaming? You can also build yourself a nice 12v setup for relatively cheap if you need a stronger mix

Then you already have two soft wash systems

I’d recommend building your own. Yes, it’ll take some time but the knowledge you’ll gain will be invaluable in operating it. :+1:

4200 is 4 GPM
And yes I’ve used it to do two homes. Came out pretty nice but I’m looking for a real system.

That is a real system. Pressure washers are how the majority of people softwash. Plus you won’t need to lug around 2 hoses.

I’ve read about people using 4 GPM systems for house washing. Thing is I want a real system. Call me dumb but this is the path I’m seeking.

A 12v is useful but a PW is the best way to softwash houses.

That’s why I’m reaching out to everyone. Just want the truth and honest replies from those that have experience.

Building my own seems hard. Have limited knowledge and little time. why yes I understand that you can save money and learn in the process that would obviously probably be my best choice. but with juggling work family life it just seems smarter for me to purchase one call it what you will perhaps it’s the easier route and the lazy route.

You just got your answer from 3 people. Do a bit more of researching on softwashing and you’ll realize you pretty much already have what you need to do it the most efficient and practical way

Well thanks for stating such. Perhaps your right. But if I did want to go in a different direction do you have any suggestions?

Yes, I do. Take the “gods to honest truth” you just got from several people, and don’t go a different direction. Use the pressure washers.

Yes. Don’t waste your money on a fancy gimmick. You have what you need. If you need a strong mix because you’ll be washing a lot of stucco, build yourself a 12v pump. A 5.5gpm - 7gpm will do you good. What you’ll need is the pump, 200ft hose, gun, Chem tank, battery, and charger. If you are washing mainly vinyl, I would bother wasting my time and would just get a x-jet since you’ll hardly need to use it.

I guess everyone on here is right. I can use my equipment to do this. But will it work on roofs?

So let me ask you a question if I was to build my own how much money would I save?

That’s something I can’t tell you… Because I honestly don’t feel like looking it up and doing the math. I can guarantee that you will save money and learn while you do it. It will be done a lot easier than you think.

No. You need a stronger mix for roofs. You’ll only get around 10-1 with your DS injector. You can control your mix using a 12v. I’d do a ton of research before considering doing roofs
