I have done the testing on my 4gpm with a bucket. Pump pumped exactly 4 gal per minute.
I used injector to suck out 1 gal of bleach ( I used water) through it and it took 2 minutes exactly to suck out 1 gal.
So is my injection ratio 1:8 ?or is it 1:9 because in 2 minutes it sucked 1 gal of bleach plus 8 gals of water?
Trying to figure it out made my brain hurt. Please help
When you soap down a side of a house does it turn the organics brown?
So how much water did it suck out while you had the injector going, that is the question and answer to your question. Time it for one min drawing both and see what you have in your fill bucket and then see how much (bleach) your drew.
Man I went through that whole calculation nonsense when I first started. As noted, if it turns brown in a minute or two, that’s perfect. Don’t fret over percentages.
If it kills the algae in like, 30 seconds then consider diluting it some.
It sucked 1/2gal gal per 4 gal of water out of my pump in 1 minute. So 1:8 then?

Sounds right. Most 4’s will put you anywhere from 7:1 to 10:1.
Mine was at 7:1 before it bit the dust.
If it sucks it is good, if not then it becomes frustrating
