Need guidance on my next purchase

I just left the local dealer picking up a rental for the weekend. They walk me thru it each time. I asked for a quote to buy a 8gpm machine from them and they try to sell me a hotsy for 12k. They’re great people, help me out in many ways, forward me customers, cut me breaks on some rental fees etc. I guess they are under some contract with hotsy. I told them to order this pressure pro and I’ll give them 750 on top of the cost, they couldn’t do it. Feel kinda bad but I can’t justify spending 12k. I may as well buy two Pressure Pros. Thanks for the info Chris

Friend of mine has a hotsy the dealership is about 1.5 hr away he also has a bandit cold water machine it cost him over twenty grad to setup his trailer and he drives over there and he takes it over there and pays them to service it they like him to

Do you think it’s worth twice as much? It’s a becket burner same as pressure pro, and the frame is not stainless. I think I would get a better machine with hydrotek. I priced them and it was around 8,500 for the same specs but 115v and dual gun setup. I just don’t see the benefit of hotsy for the price

On thing to keep in mind is how munch u are going to use it if u are going to be using the burner 50 to 75 percent of the time ur Washing I would try and get the best whichever one that would be I use mine maybe 25 percent of jobs if that much good equipment will pay for itself in no time that skid I had so long I paid around 5500 and sold it last yr for 3250 so I didn’t have munch at all in equipment bet I had twice what I paid for it in gas and off-road desel or more but also depends on if u are a diy or would rather pay someone to keep up the maintenance on it u can do 90 percent urself

My local guys I love for chems but for anything else they are ridiculous. For the exact same machine that KEC or Pressuretek sells for 1700-1900 they wanted $2900

I change oil myself, if something breaks and YouTube or this forum can’t fux it with me I’ll pay someone, in this care I have a 5gpm backup. The hydrotek would be best, but I’m on a budget that has doubled since its beginning

Same here. I’ve been using there degreaser, it’s call 911. Very good stuff at only $62 for 5gal. Even the quick connects are 2-3x as much

Well if it has the same engine same Beckett Burner same diameter coil and same thickness coil same genarator maybe different pump tells me u are paying double for the to stamp a different name on it don’t make since if u got money burning a hole in ur pocket buy a tandum axle trailer twelve foot will be fine or a 14 and take any other money left and put an air diaphragm and u will have a rig anyone would love to own a can do twice as many things same price now that makes sense :facepunch::facepunch:

My thoughts exactly. I’m looking at the 7x14 TA. I found one for 3,500 in GA. About an 8hr drive for me. I will invest in the diaphragm eventually. I’ll stick to the 12v for now.

This is my 12 ft got 12 in it

That’s a great looking and high functioning rig. How much did that diaphragm pump run you. My bottom of the line 12v gets the job done but it’s a pain when it loses prime or to get it primed. I used diaphragm pumps back when I was working in the oil field. They all worked flawlessly and easy to work on. Nice rig :+1:

Which would be better? The above or the diaphragm?

Not to hijack the the thread but I’m curious about the air pumps. What are the advantages of air vs the 12 volt besides the obvious 12 volt dependability. Can the gum be set around 5-6 bpm to make it easier to control on a roof due to inexperience? I’ve only done a couple of roofs but I want to get a soft wash system this spring not just for roofs but also for stucco and dryvit buildings
