My first trailer love đź’ť

This one has my heart. Waiting on the aluminum logos but ready for takeoff Monday. I want to thank everyone in the rooms of pressure washing resource who got Space Clean to this level and My father who engineered and built it with my direction.

You’re so lucky to have a garage. I have to work with a 5x8 enclosed trailer.:grimacing:

Thats a nice starter rig!

Looks like a great start. I’m not sure about the wood for mounting reels, etc. It won’t last very long especially if you actually keep busy.

The nice thing about the wood is at least you can try out what you are thinking before committing to getting the welding done on the endgame configuration.
But the wood should last until a more final trailer is found, just check it regularly.

That’s definitely true. I just know that the 2x6 decking on my trailer will probably need to be replaced this winter due to minor SH spills and this is only my first full season. I imagine that plywood will begin to delaminate and rot very quickly compared to dimensional lumber.

At least it’s plywood and not osb lol.
I actually missed the plywood on first glance, just saw the dimensional pieces. A sealing would have helped for sure, but always version 2.0 to make adjustments to hehe.

@MPS Daniel, it is sealed twice.

Do you intend for the plywood to be a permanent fixture or are you just hoping to get some use out of it before going with metal?

Nice setup. I know you’ve put a lot of time and research into it so best of luck.

I agree with the wood though. Once you know you have it setup the way you want it I would definitely convert it to steel this winter when you have time. Not only will it last longer it will look more professional. If anything paint it black to match the trailer for now so it’s not as noticeable.

@DisplacedTexan @marinegrunt The wood is still new so I will let it season and hit it with black paint next year. I’m spending the extra money for quality high grade aluminum signs which will also cover up the majority of the wood surface.

Signs are cheap… go ahead fab supports for everything. SH will dominate wood.

I really like it what do use to catch the oil in it just seams like it would have to be something very shallow mines a pain in the butt takes forever

Way nicer than the first trailer I ever had.

Maybe it’s not, but this seems awful sketchy to me

@SurfaceTherapy the ICB is mounted to the trailer. Strap up and it’s pretty secure.

Oh, have I got a tip for you. If you have a standard wood deck utility trailer, just use a hole saw and put a hole in the decking right where your drain hoses reach. Throw your catch pan on the floor underneath and go to town.

I’m sure that drum is not full

It is not empty in the photo. The strap comes tight under the lip, I was pulling on it pretty good and it stayed tight.
