Modification to pw

I’m having a difficult time finding an 8gpm pw, local vendors seem like they never seen one and i don’t think anyone around here has one. One vendor could have one in about 4-6 weeks for 7300$+tx CA

I found this used on kijiji but it has too much pressure for house washing and i want the 8 gpm.

If i understand correctly i would have to change the pump? Could anyone direct me to the proper part? Is this modification easy? Is it worth it?

Thanks

The gx690’s are becoming hard to find by themselves new.

The pressure is adjusted by the nozzle orifice size.

That being said, I originally bought a 5.5/3500 machine with gx630, but wanted to upgrade so I got a gearbox and tsf2021 and it’s putting out about 7.5/3000 verified with a gauge. It’s a housewashing beast, much better than a 5.5.

But would not this engine on the kijiji one be capable of providing 8gpm with a different pump? The point is to rinse quicker!

Also the local specialized vendors think i’m crazy looking for an 8 gpm, they say i’ll be destroying all the siding and that it’s " too strong". I try to explain low pressure and high volume and they try to sell me a 4gpm saying i should not be getting anything bigger for residential. This is not like the U.S where it seems everybody does pressure washing/ soft washing. Especially roofs, no one ever heard of that around here. The good side is, less competition. The bad side is, lack of information/ equipment/ chemicals/ service locally. That’s why i highly value you guys on this forum.

SO… Is it a good idea to buy the kijiji one and if so what is the update that needs to be done?

That machine has been rode hard and put away wet. Save your loonies and buy new.

Well, here in the states a brand new 8/3500 goes for what that used one you are looking at. I guess you could take the pump off that one and sell it like I did and then slap on a 8/3000 pump.
