As I sit here about to put some deer sausage on the grill I can’t help but think about my brothers in arms that have served and didn’t make it home. Most of the time we think of those who died physically but we need to also remember those that have come back who have died mentally and emotionally. There are thousands with ptsd or other emotional illnesses. Some came home with physical effects that wouldn’t be discovered until years later. Memorial Day is not about bbq or sales it’s about sacrifice and love of country and those serving next to you. I was blessed to serve with some of the best. RIP Butch and the others who have gone before us
