Love trying new things

Recently I’ve been looking for new gadgets for roof cleaning instead of just a Gilmore gun. Been wanting to try a long wand that’s user friendly. Also when cleaning tile roofs I’m ocd about getting the front lips of the bottom tiles. Well since I’m also looking to make my life easier, I like to try new things.

I stumbled upon this at Lowe’s and it’s going to be put to the test cleaning roofs these next few weeks. I really like the different spray patterns. However the best part is the flexible head so I can bend it back and easily get the front lips of the tiles.

I’m a tad skeptical and I have a feeling it will fail rather quick but we shall see. I’m guessing the head flex joint will start to leak first, but only time will tell. However for only $15 I say it’s totally worth a shot.

Anybody ever try this thing? If not what’s the weirdest thing you’ve tried that worked and has saved you time/pain?

I imagine it will work but not for long. The internals will corrode and dissolve in a pretty shirt amount of time. I’ve gotten to where I’m just using $1.50 garden hose sprayers so when the spring rusts out I just grab a new one off the trailer.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, however I’ve been using the same Gilmore gun for 4 months and it’s still going strong with no leaks or problems. That’s probably due to the fact that I’m really strict on rinsing things out. We shall see. If it makes my life easier and I can get 5-10 roofs out of it, I’ll be a happy camper!

There ya go. Just be mindful with all of those joints and connections and you should be fine.

I wish people here understood their roofs can be cleaned. I’ve seen countless nasty ones with ugly streaks.

Make an informational video describing the process and showing you doing it. Then send out an email blast to all your clients and see if you get any results. Maybe it will catch on and you can dominate. The HOAs in Florida force people to do it.

When im washing a house and they have a dirty roof. I just make a really disgusted face and say " wow your roof is filthy" if they still dont want you to wash it try dry heaving alittle bit.

We’ve used various ones from HD and Lowes doing ~30 roofs a month and they last about 2-3 wks being rinsed well after each use.
