Llc/dba question

My accountant (30+years in business) walked me through everything. Step by step…brought up things I never would’ve imagined and still can’t even imagine and if I have a question, he is only a phone call away. He has my back, like he should. I am paying him to have my back.
If your accountant doesn’t understand your business or you feel they aren’t asking you the right questions or you feel they don’t have your back…time to go accountant shopping.
You are paying them to provide a service, just like your customers pay you. If you feel they are not living up to their end…move on.
They should know accounting/business like I should know washing.

Well, ignorance is bliss as they say.

Here’s a little info to ponder that most business owners don’t even consider:

Ok Steve. If you want to beat this into the ground.
If ignorance is bliss as far as accounting goes, I am one the happiest people on the planet.
Per your advice I won’t rely on anyone I hire to do a service for me ever again, I will always make sure that I know just as much, if not more than them about what they do. (Sarc)
They have their job, I have mine.
After I washed my accountants house, he appreciates the knowledge I have gained.
And I appreciate his.

I honestly don’t think we’re arguing about anything. I just believe business owners should know what they’re doing. Whether they get the information from a professional, a book, or online is irrelevant. If you’re happy, I’m happy.

“Infinity Maintenance Services, Inc.”

With S-corp election.

Let me preface this by saying I respect you and I think you are one of the more knowledgeable posters here:

We’re not arguing, you are being a tool that has to have the last word. If you want to better the forum you will have to agree that gaining/asking a knowledgeable accountant is probably the best information that you could give a new guy.
But NO, you want to drive this into the ground.

You want them to read page after page of information that would be better used to start a fire. We are power washers, (or at least we want to be).
Most business owners want to know THEIR business, and have all of their focus on that and that only.

If their business needs advice, they should hire a professional. Yes, it is good to be informed enough to ask the right questions. But, if you have the right person, you don’t have to ask, they inform you.

Just saying.
