Kuri tek keeps kinking on the reel

any of you guys running kuri tek figured out a way to keep it from kinking? EVERY SINGLE TIME we do a roof we have to unroll all 200’ because its kinked at the very end. Anybody ever put something over it to keep it from kinking? a stiff spring maybe?

I haven’t used kuritec but any other hose like poly or garden I like to start from the reel with spa hose or similar. I got some really stiff 5/8 hose from Home Depot.

Retire the kuritech and buy the flextech rt hose. I have some that’s 7 or 8 years old still going strong.

Flextech all the way. Also my dealer tells me to always unroll all the hose so I do.

right where it connects to the reel!

Take what you read here with a grain of salt and make your own choices.

You have a bunch of connections making it stick out of the drum center?

yep that would make since… i needed to run the galvanized 1/2" to 3/8" adapter to make it fit the reel

Add a 45 degree to the reel before you connect the hose

I want to say I installed another 45 on mine to make it not bend as much off the fitting. But I also think I am wrong and I don’t have this problem…Next time I spool it out ill see.

I keep 300 ft on the reels . I’ve never found it necessary to unwind it all endless it’s to reach 300ft

side note while i have some of you gentlemen on here. Im doing 2 large natural wood decks friday. Ill be cleaning them and have never used oxalic as brightener but she asked for them to be brightened. How do i go about it? Just spray the oxalic on and leave it?

I was even using mine this winter to spray liquid de-icer and I would pull 40-50 foot off. Its stiff as heck when its 3 degrees but never kinked!
