Is this destiny?

So as a few of you know My wife and I have our house listed for sale. We are hoping to move closer to my job at the college. We had found a home we really liked but the seller has decided to rent it for a year and put it back on the market.

Funny story - I washed a house here in Macomb that is about 1 block from my office this spring. Beautiful 2 story home and its all new inside. (I’m not a fan of the siding color though) The lady told me she was prepping the house for sale and I told her it was lovely and she should have no problem selling it. The house number is 227 and my current house is 227.

What are the odds that I wash a house with the same house number 1 block from my office and end up buying it?

Oh my mother-in-law just bought a house and her address is 227 as well lol

Cool! Hit me up for sure!

That’s a lot of house for the money. Would be between 300 and 400 k around here . Must be nice to have an affordable cost of living.

Taxes are 5k a year though! And it will be 2200 square foot when I finish the basement out.

That’s what we pay in re taxes. No sales tax helps out though!

It’s so screwy here one county the taxes would be closer to 2k others would be over 10k .

I weigh about 327 :joy::flushed::muscle:

That’s a lot of house for the money. The advantages of living in the middle of nowhere, lol. I would have liked to have been the guy who bought it in Jan 2013 for $55k and flipped it for 145k in Dec. Must have been when all the updates got done. Good find.

We’re touring it tomorrow. My only hope is the neighbor to the north would be willing to sell the empty lot between us. I would love to build a shop next to it. The house was shadowed by Higgins hall until last July 1st when we blew it up. It was literally 80 yards behind this house. The contractor finished cleanup a few months ago and now it’s just a pretty grass area where deer hang out. You can see the video of the implosion that I filmed from the JLG.

That was pretty cool. Good video. Why’d they take it down, looked like the biggest building around.

It has a twin building just to the north that’s been completely remodeled. We chose to take this one down for many reasons. Kids anymore want to live in townhomes or apartments and they shack up with friends and pay less for living. Enrollment has been down for many years and with no state budget we had so much deferred maintenance that it was a lost cause. When you update a building or remodel over 51% you have to update all the codes. Codes have become much more expensive since that building was constructed. I believe the plan is to eventually construct apartment buildings. I am sure in the 19 years I have left I will be filming an implosion more than 1 time lol

42 yards lol and not 1 bit of debris fell on the property!
