Intermittent Pressure

Hey all, first time poster here. I have a small part time operation with a Ryobi 2800 psi 2.3gpm unit. It seems that i am having an issue with the pressure fluctuating up and down at certain residences. I have noticed that all of these Residences have anti-siphon valves at their water supply. Could this be the issue? Of course carrying my own tank would fix this problem, but i am just not there yet. Hopefully after this season i will be.

The water supply could be an issue, but even with the anti-siphon the faucet should output more than enough to run 2.3gpm. Most homes have 4gpm output at bare minimum.

I’m not too familiar with the Ryobi models (hope their pressure washers are better than their trimmers).

You’re likely looking at either the seals or the pressure regulator. Seal failure is more common in my experience. But make sure you regulator isn’t stuck open or partly open.

Good luck

Thank you for the response @nitty34. I will be testing out the machine again tomorrow and will consider the possibilities you mentioned. Process of elimination!

I hate back flow valves!

Check the flow at the end of the hose/machine inlet as it sounds like lack of water. These machines need to be force fed.
