Injectors

Is there an injector that can be switched on and off remotely?

Russ Johnson is the remote master.

He can supply you with a remote control that shuts off the flow of soap to he injector.

Sweet! Any idea on cost?

Aritt, the remotes are rated for 250’, and are $265.00 for a single chem, and $395.00 for a 2 chem set up.

Thanks guys! Russ I will give you a call!

Now all we need is a robotic soaper, so all you have to do is follow behind and rinse.

Couldn’t find it on your site Russ can you post a link for us?

They’re not in the store yet. Here’s a couple of pics though…
Dual chem remote

Single

We have changed to a slightly different remote, but the unit looks basically the same.

Who loves ya Russ?

Most everybody…I’m a loveable guy.

These are cool! We run 2 machines and id like to have them on both. Can a dual chem remote be used to run 2 separate machines? Do these just go inline before the injector? What’s the life expectancy of these downstreaming 12.5%? Can the valves be replaced when they go bad?

.
A dual remote only feeds one injector. You have the choice of feeding the injector soap or wax but it will only feed one machine.

They are serviceable but how long a valve lasts probably has more to do with the care (rinsing) that it receives.

I think it is a great idea, the unit itself looks great, but the remote looks like a child’s toy. I would like to see the remote be a little more beefier, a solid black would make it look more professional.

There are remotes available for the same purpose for (so I have heard) five times the price of the SouthSide Russ model.

You don’t need a remote to wash with, it just makes life a bit easier.

I don’t personally feel that I need one, or ever would. I don’t think it’s that much of an inconvenience to turn it on or off. I think in Fleet Washing it may help depending on the surface you are cleaning at the moment. Chrome, heavy grease or just plain detergent for the exterior of a vehicle.

It could be built to accommodate 2 separate washers off one central box. It would require 2 independent remote receivers wired to each of the solenoids.

They do go between the chemical source and the injector.

The solenoids are PVC, so they’re built to handle SH, but we do recommend rinsing after use. And they are replaceable.
