That’s all that matters! I did use a slotted filter when I was downstreaming out of a bucket. A PVC stick around the tube helped keep it in there. 2.1 injectors will draw better than a 2.3 & I didn’t see any difference at all in flow at 6.8 gpm. I measured 6.75 with soap nozzles & 6.25 with pressure nozzles.
I used to go through a ridiculous amount of injectors until i ordered PW Gadgets Golden Standard injector last year. Still going strong. Worth it. A time saver.
I have the same GP hi draw injector and its done a couple hundred houses. I have 1.8mm, 2.1mm and a 2.3mm and I’ve mainly used the 2.1mm on almost every job. Just switch to rinse on a 2 way (not even every job but its good habit once a day) and every 2-3 months open it up and clean the spring/ball/seat (takes about 90 seconds). The GP hi draw are about $25 each and they are the industry standard. They work perfectly for our application.
Obviously they’re not. Hence why I wrote what I wrote 2 years ago. Still using that same PW Gadgets Gold standard injector 2 years later. And never had to take it apart. There’s no comparison.

To each their own and I’m happy you’re satisfied with your setup but to anybody reading this PMG is the exception to the norm and GP hi draw chemical injectors last quite a bit longer with basic maintenance than what they are saying. This becomes self-evident after working with them and understanding how they work. But again, I’m happy you got your issue with injectors sorted out.

I have used both and to me there was no rhyme or reason for how long the gp would last 
could go through 3 in a week, or have one work all summer.
I too have the gold standard and have for 2, maybe 3 seasons and had one issue with it sucking in a pine needle or something like that needing cleared once but have literally done nothing else to it and it just works. I absolutely love it and though I was apprehensive about it’s price it’s well worth it in my opinion. Just thinking of the amount of time it’s saved me with in the field swaps of injectors over the years. Very thankful I have it. Probably the best upgrade besides reels for house washing. With the concentration it pulls, I can go down to as low as 7.5% sh which is an absolute game changer for me as I can top off my 12.5 carboy with Costco bleach for my house washing setup and not waste the hot stuff for roofs.

Exactly this. Even with a downstream bypass and a 3-way Banjo valve to flush the injector after every job, I’m going through 2–3 GP injectors a year. At this point, it probably makes more sense, both financially and from a frustration standpoint, to just invest in the Gold Standard injector.

Also I’m a naughty boy. I have NEVER flushed this thing. It just works. Period.

@OhioFloMo I’m super curious what you mean by “going through 2-3 GP injectors a year” - you just throw away the injector? You must be aware you can buy replacement spring/ball/orifice right? They are wear items that you replace. Keep a couple spring/ball kits on your truck and a few orifices. You’ll never go through all of them.
Yup, I’ve bought the kits in the past… by the time you purchase both kits you might as well just buy a new injector for a couple bucks more. That way you have a new body that doesn’t have a 1/2 rusted off barb and corroded inside. When I was only washing part time I went through maybe 1 every year or two, now that I’m full time and washing a lot more it’s easy to go through a couple each season. At that point the breakeven on the Gold Standard vs GP is 3 seasons at most and considering the multiple years people are getting out of them it just makes sense. Buy once cry once as they say.

It takes some people years to learn this lesson, and some never do. Just because something has a lower upfront cost doesn’t mean it’s the most cost-effective option in the long run.
I use the stainless GP with kynar barbs so I can run 100 gallons of SH without having to water it down since the screw in barbs do that. Best injectors were the ones Bob modified from GP with no springs and a stainless cleat tapped into the barb. Same thing basically as the gold standard just $150 cheaper.
