iGX390 5.5@3000 vs iGX800 5.5@3000 FOR RESIDENTIAL FLATWORKONLY

Thanks for your input… Much appreciated.

I hear what you’re saying but still not sure about an 8gpm. Most people running 8’s swear by having very large tanks i.e. 250 gallons.

The average lpm at the house spigots in my area are around 15-18lpm. A 400lt tank should last around 25min running an 8gpm pump. Wouldn’t this force me to have to wait around for the tank to refill every 25min or so if using an 8gpm pump…??? No doubt there’s a lot of service cleaning that can be accomplished in 25min running an 8gpm pump. Id love to go with an 8gpm machine… but don’t want to run into water shortages etc. You are the first person I’ve seen that’s running an 8gpm machine with a 200lt (50gal) tank.

I’m half convinced to go with an 8… I just need some more convincing!

I run an 8GPM and a 5.5GPM off a 200 gallon tank at the same time issues. Often for 15-20 minutes on the guns of both. Granted my area has high GPM water flow in general.

Let me put it to you like this when I go to any job I always have a 5.6gpm and an 8 gpm and each has a 55 gallon tank. On occasion I run out of water for a short time on the 8gpm but the 5.6 will run continuously almost always. Never ever has there been a time even with stoppage time that the 5.6 has covered anywhere near the amount of area as the 8. Also I am not for certain but I assume your newer into the biz? I say this because hunting down residential flat work as your niche seems like the lowest profited approach And an 8 gpm will serve you befter when you lear house washing pays way better

Once again thanks for your input.
I have chosen the residential market to get my feet wet and gain some much needed experience before venturing into any commercial type opportunities. My main focus is residential house & roof Softwashing and driveways etc.

I take on board what you said about your 5.6 & 8 machines and do very much like the idea of having the two machines. It’s great insurance should one machine breakdown and potentially be out of action for a few days. I think you might have convinced me to go with the 8… and take the plunge.

yeah the 5.6 gpm is going to get replaced here shortly I have had a gx690 for a year sitting in the box and bought a 110 gallon slimline tank so next year I will run 2 8gpms. I find the 8 gpm gives you a huge advantage when washing siding especially if you drill out a 0 degree nozzle to a 0080 thats what I use the most. Coming from somone who owns both machines and have used them side by side I can say buying the 5.5 over the 8 will be the biggest business mistake you can make. I made this mistake and never realized how much it hurt me until the end of my season when I got the 8 and ran both. i do recommend a smaller injector or force feeding your injector on the 8 fyi. I have some videos on my youtube channel “softwashscience” , showing my water intake manifold you can check out. good luck to you!

Looking to buy a igx800 cold water belt driven 8gpm GP TSF 2021 anyone know some one who may have one for sale live in Central FL. The current place I was dealing with is unreliable and can’t get a call back to place an order. Tired of waiting. I want it now lol.
