I need help on this one guys

So, I was Reffred to this client by another client who speaks very highly of me and I’m hoping to help this guy out also…

The brick is only about 2 years old, he said he never had it cleaned after the construction. So I’m a bit confused.

Is this

  1. Post Construction Dirtiness?
  2. Efflorescence?
  3. Just water deposits from irrigation? The grounds keepers water rinse it frequently.

Looks like Calcium deposit. Mist with water, Use F9 efflo and agitate. Then neutralize with f9 double eagle or another product with opposite ph, then surface clean.

Yea what he said, thats calcium from the potted plant being watered

Is there anything over the counter per say other than “f9” ?

I’d like to use something that is easier to get a hold off other than waiting for shipping and buying too little or or too much

You could try Oxalic or even step it up to muratic diluted 4:1 with water. That’s what they use to clean the mortar splatter off when they’re done laying them. You might have to agitate a little. I know I don’t have to tell you but do a test spot with the muriatic and see what strength works best. F9 Efflo is Hydrochloric acid. The only difference between hydrochloric acid and muriatic acid is purity.

Remember to a small test first

Thanks, A reminder is always good

I think I will start with an 8:1 mix ratio and go from there…

Small areas at a time? Or treat all the brick once I’ve tested?
