I chickened out

Well it’s been a while but it happened today.
No crazy pitch no crazy height just a normal dirty roof. I went up normally then hit the top and got the heeby jeebys. Don’t know why it just felt sketchy for some reason. Had to call in a lift and reschedule for tomorrow. Luckily there is only two buildings. Other wise the lift would cost the job to much.
I’m either wiser or wimpier the older I get. Not sure which one yet.

That looks like a crazy pitch to me, no way I’d get on that!

That was the main issue. The tiles were shifting a lot when I was walking on them . And there was a ton of repair already done to the roof .
There was no way to harness off on the roof if there was I wouldn’t have an issue. The anchor point were to low on the roof to do anything

I love heights. I love walking roofs. But tile roofs could be flat and sketch me. One time I was in really mild pitch and got dizzy (vertigo?), heart started to race, and hugged a chimney for a few with my eyes closed. Never happened before, hasn’t happened since

I get vertigo every now and then on white tile roofs. Especially if the whole community is white tile. It’s a weird feeling. Usually only last a few seconds then goes away.

No way I would have walked that. I think you made the right choice.

Your probably rite . I will agree it would be foolish to continue being nervous.

One time I was doing a roof cleaning. Accidentally wore my boots that day. I made it up with a struggle, but tried to come down and started to slide and ■■■■ my pants. So I took my boots off and barefoot it with my socks. Not to mention, a 40 foot ladder was maxed out to the top. I didn’t want to fall off that lol
