Huge commercial gutter cleaning

One of the largest “softwash” contractors in Daytona quoted my mother in law about $800 to wash her 2000sq ft brick ranch. Week later quoted my wife $500 for same house. I called from up here and got price of $250. I did it with a pump sprayer and garden hose when I went down for father in laws funeral

Welcome to Florida. Pretty sure you Carolina boys call us floridiots lol

I have yet to do a roof, partly because I haven’t had any training and second because I feel uncomfortable on a roof. I’d like to offer the service in the future though. Hearing the suggestions of having a roofing company install anchors is a great idea. Never thought about contracting that part of the job out before. Thanks everyone.

Find a local contractor training or licensing company in you area and learn how to properly use a harness and lanyard. Using one and using one correctly are two completely different things. There is a lot more to it than just strapping it on and hooking to an anchor. It can be a real struggle to deal with until you get the hang of it . Especially on things like barrel tile and standing seam metal roofs. Shingle is a good place to start. It’s all about slack maintenance.

I’ve never had to put an anchor on a customers house before mostly condos and apartments Not sure I would feel rite about asking . It will also add a few hundred to the job. Most roofers have a $250 minimum to step foot on a roof.

I’ve done roofs in Deer Park area mostly. I do them mostly from a ladder and I dont do 2 stories. Not worth it to me

Good job man.
I stopped doing roofs because I couldn’t get WC because you can’t touch a roof unless you’re a certified roofer in Florida.
So we stopped doing roofs, got the WC, and focus on other cleaning services instead.
Almost every commercial client requests a COI that includes WC.
