How bad is it?

I recently decided to power wash my interlockings on my driveway and everything appeared good until the water dried up… the intent was to remove the weeds growing in between the stones, but now I’m faced with a bigger problem.

There are noticeable lines shown on my interlockings after I finished the job.

Can anyone tell me the extent of the damage I created and whether it is repairable and how?

Thanks in advance.

Red tip?

Call a professional.

Red and green, I stopped red 1/3 through

Flip the pavers upside down so that the bottom sides face up.

Not knowing what you’re doing and not knowing anything about pressure washing, you ruined those pavers with to much pressure and the wrong tip. Hopefully you can flip them over and it look OK. Next time consult a professional or do some research first. Sucks, but they are toast now

Just pretend it’s on purpose and call it ‘art’.

Sheesh, they sell weed killer everywhere.

About the only thing you can do is get them professionally cleaned, that will help even them out. Probably will still see it some, but will be a lot better and probably won’t be nearly as noticeable.
In a year or so it’ll blend all in.

Honestly curious to know if this is a valid option

“Waaay too expensive” said the homeowner to the professional. Lol

You’ll have to go pry one up and see if it works. Some pavers have an obvious top or bottom with beveled edges, but you won’t know what yours are until you pop one up. Otherwise, you’ll either have to live with what you’ve done, hire a pro to try and fix it, or figure out how to apply CONSISTENT high pressure over EVERY square inch of your pavers to try and match what you’ve already cleaned.

If it makes you feel any better… you are not the first person to have done this and you certainly won’t be the last! Everyone has to figure out that just because they stayed at a Holiday Inn last night it doesn’t mean that they know what their doing. We’ve all had to learn that too in some aspect or another in our lives.

If he used a HO machine probably only has 2700psi or something like that. I know I could blend it in pretty good.

Turbo! Lol

you could try a surface cleaner with the same psi and small fan, or 0 tip out sand them lightly.

What does the Holiday Inn have to do with it? Is that an expression?

It was a commercial for Holiday Inn Express a while back, plenty of memes from it. Look it up.

Here’s a link from one of their commercials. As Brock said, it was a popular thing a while back.
To sum it up, just because someone look the part doesn’t mean that they actually know what they are doing. Like me, I just lug a 15 gallon drum of SH up the ladder onto the roof and drill holes near the base of drum allowing it to drain. This cleans the roof amazingly well and helps keep back any vegetation around the dwelling. It’s a win win!

Then the $99 covers your room at the Holiday Inn Express for the next night…and if you do 2 that day, you can buy another couple 5 gallon jugs of SH too! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I read on here all the time and watch videos of people using turbo tip on pavers to get weeds from in between them I would assume use 2500psi but does the spinning turbo eliminate the lines ?
