House Washing with 8.5 gpm

I think with a big machine, you can hit the high spots easily. You don’t need a super-special tip. So just use whatever is most convenient. If you’ve got a small machine, you need every trick in the book just to get the water up there.

Looks like you might run throught your house wash faster, then if you would with a j rod?? Think I am going to buy one myselfamd try it out …would it work with 200 foot of hose? Will that shoot father then your standard j rod? Thanks for the video by the way reel good info… I haven’t been tapping up door bells but going to start now …

Awesome video. I need to upgrade my system to an 8gpm! I was amazed at how quick you washed that house. probably a super noob question but how is your wand so short, id love to do that oh multiple occasions.

Just a regular trigger gun with QDC, no wand

I was using 200’ of hose, works with any length as far as nozzle goes. It shoots about the same distance as a 0040 tip. the big advantage is you don’t have to keep changing tips, just adjust on the fly. Once you use one, you’ll use a jrod 3% of the time. I keep my jrod plugged into my 12" wand and the ONLY time I ever use it is if I need the long range shooter tip in it.

What is a QDC? Do I need some type of fitting? I can’t just remove the want I’d have nothing to screw the quick connect onto

quick disconnect, just screw into outlet of gun. They make male and female

Hey racer can you use that same gun setup with the mx5 for your soft wash gun(12v system)…?

I haven’t tried it because I run different fittings, but I’d think so. May not get same distance, but still should be reasonable. Let me know if you try it and how it does.

Found it. Thanks @Racer

Thank you @Racer

Thanks for the video @Racer, definitely a great addition to the bucket. When pulling through 200’ of hose, do you use a smaller size M5DS or the version matched to your machine? In chatting with TJ from Xterior, he mentioned that some customers use a smaller nozzle to help with the longer pull.

NO, I have a smaller one that I use on my 4gpm machine. It works on the 8 but doesn’t shoot as far. Has a little more pressure but get more mist and not as far range.

How would one match m5ds to his machine??? Dnt say I didn’t search first

They make 2 sizes based on volume. I think mine are like 3-7 and a 7-12 if I remember.

Why does your trigger not kick like a race horse?

Because I’m using a flow actuated unloader - a K7

Yep. Unloader will run you about $100, then you’ll need a remote block and a jump hose. Your distributor can hook you up with all you need.

Yea I searched for it after I asked that’s why I removed the post. Thanks for the help.
