HA will credit your account. I just received a lead, called her within 2 minutes, and won a $249 Vinyl house wash on the phone. Earlier today estimated $499 on a bay front home with 50 windows, and likely get THAT job. HA has made me busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Ill call and offer $125 for house.
Tell you what: You go tell her youāre me and Iāll split the $$ with you.
Just fluckinā with you Dude. Weāll get the chance to work together just as soon as you go kill a few defenseless animals in the woods.
Lol.
Im done, time to start killing stuff.
My partner sold a job to a guy. The guy called us for a qoute we showed up. Then he said he had a guy coming to do it for 150. We sold the job to him for 250 he took it. We just talked him into it. Stay on your price offer more. Make sense, make sense. Show them the math.
so far HA always refunds my $$ when I follow their instructions
Bingo. The people that donāt have success with HomeAdvisor kill meā¦ I understand that every market is different, but people also have to take responsibility for knowing how the software they agreed to pay for works.
Over a hundred HA leads, the ones that I called within minutes of getting it and again within 24 hours if they didnāt answer the first time typically work out like this:
70% do business if they answer on the first call.
If I canāt reach them after 24 hours, all but maybe 8 have been credited back.
Itās mind boggling dudeā¦hereās my unpopular opinion for the day:
If youāre not having success with HomeAdvisorā¦ itās YOUR fault.
Edit: OR you couldnāt sell bottled water in the Sahara desert.
No thatās just not true. You can drop me in,a small town, pretty much anywhere and I would sell or make a living from scratch. I have very good sales and marketing skills. So THAT statement is false. To take this a step further there are plenty of Americans that bust their butts all day long and will work as hard or harder than any immigrant. That includes myself and my wifeā¦
with that being saidā¦ from your experience are their anything to look out for or āmust doāsā when dealing with HomeAdvisor? canāt be all roses can it?

Wrong thread. Also, he said āmostā, not all.
Also, he said āmostā, not all.
Thanks. Lol
Yeah. You have to stop what youāre doing and be the first to call. You have to have practiced a script that condenses your information into something understandable, but also presents your company as the only one to do business with without bashing others.
You have to be prepared to follow their rules to a T in order to get credits for bad leads and some of them ARE bad leads.
There are others, but itās on my list to make a video about why those in our industry canāt seem to make HomeAdvisor work.
Yea I realize it is the wrong threadā¦ On the phone I have problems with postingā¦ I realize he said MOSTā¦ And I disagree.
I realize everyone wonāt always agree with me so Iāll just agree to disagree, high five, and move on.
No problemsā¦rock on
I call everyone back within a week whether i want to or not. Most of the time
Iām still convinced home advisor success begains and end with market size. If someone is having overwhelming success with home advisor in a small market town, hereās your chance to shine.

YES! When you get a new lead, you receive a text and several phone calls (annoying, really). Ignore the phone calls, go to your app and call your new prospect immediately. Iāll even pull over when driving if I need to so that I can be the first to call. Remember that most leads are given out to 2-3 people, and the first to call makes the best initial impression.
Yesterday I received two leads within minutes of each other. One looked like a big upsell so I went straight out to give an estimate. After she had agreed to my price and while I was standing there she received a call from another professional who was by that time out of the picture. He wasnāt quick enough. On my way home from that estimate, I received a call accepting my price on the other job for a bid I gave over the phone within 30 seconds of receiving the text from HA. He started asking about pressure washing other things while there, so it may very well become an upsell when I get there Saturday morning. Yep, Iām so busy I have to work on Saturdays now.
HA has been a HUGE gamechanger for me.
First to market wins.
how many leads you have per day?
