Home shows?

I have done some searching over the last year or so on new advertising techniques and it seems home shows have worked out pretty well for the most of you. However, ive seen reported averages of about $500 per show to become an exhibitor, our local shows are around $1200 for a 2-3 days expo. Do you guys believe it would be a good investment? Ive never participated in a show like this and would have to put together a booth and some signs for a good show.

Like a homeowners expo? No, I don’t think your going to see a direct ROI. If you have the $$ then go for it. But $1200 in door hangers, Facebook ads, and Google AdWords will have a higher ROI

You need to look for an association, a special niche group to become a member of…that’s when it’s worth it.

what do you mean by a special niche group? Any examples?

yes… I do a vendor booth at an association of condo associations.

twice a year over 100 condo associations that span about 100 mile area get together to learn how to self manage their condo associations. Each potential customer has a $6,000 price tag…so even if you have 3% conversion thats $18,000. Its also only $100 for annual membership and $50 a table. But in a small group like this, word gets around quick.

I’ve heard lots of good things about home shows so we’re gunna try doing two of them in March to kick start our year. One was 1200 for 2 days and the other is $675. With 50% off on vistaprint we still spent about 1200 on our set up and flyers to hand out. Excited to see how it will turn out!
