Home advisor secrets

@squidskc so just wanted to make sure this sounds good and I’m not missing any special stuff I can ask about from the home advisor master himself lol. So for $350 I get the year membership and I paid per lead that comes in. I’m also getting 100$ credit for leads for signing up. Anything else I need to ask for or deals?

Ask them to kiss you, afterward.:grinning:

Yeah. Ask if they can send you an exclusive lead or two to try out the service. If they say no tell them to set your lead budget to $60/month and only residential. They hate such a low number. If you have some raving fans call them and ask if they’d be open to giving you a couple reviews on HomeAdvisor. 3-5 reviews and you’re golden, but keep getting them.

If you’ve read every post I’ve ever made about HA you’re ready. In fact, after you’ve read them all and sign up you and I can have a phone call every week. I will personally mentor you on how to make the most of it.

Before you sign up ask these questions:

They can tell you how many leads come in daily, weekly, and monthly for your service area. Ask how many leads if you opened up your service area by 10 miles. Ask when the peak months are. Ask about your competitors not including painting companies. Find out how many reviews they have.

It’s all important info. Get those answers and I’ll help you hit the ground running.

And for the help and going out of your way I will say you referred me he said you get an additional 100$ for referring someone to sign up on home advisor so might as well let you reap the benefits lol

I’ve never asked for anyone to do that, but I’m grateful when people do. Sounds like a fair trade to me. Thanks man!

I keep my home advisor leads at Bay and within 5 miles of my house otherwise you just can’t get to him if you’re busy they’re great for filler work when you have a big job in the morning and need something for the afternoon or if you just want to load up a week cuz you want to have some extra money but you got to weigh the costs versus the prophet

Here’s a secret I’ll only say once.

Maybe i shouldn’t say in case they’re watching…

Ok no i can’t say it.

It sets me apart.

Sorry.

You know what, pm if you want to know.

In Nashville, a lead cost $15-30 for res. 40+ for commercial. If i close EVERY residential lead and sell a house wash only, they own roughly 10% of my company. At best! If i dont close every lead, the numbers are more bleak. So much for self employed at that point. Its much like bringing in a partner thats all take, and 0 skin in the game. HA should have to buy in.

In times that are slow, it makes sense. However, I feel that adwords are a smarter choice for the exposure and name recognition.

I signed up the other day and they did it for $288 and gave me $100 in leads free. I read about someone getting a discount on the sign up fee and some free leads and I told them if they would do that for me I may be able to sign up today and that’s the deal they came up with.

This call is from a HomeAdvisor Customer from last year. That little orange logo happens when you save a HomeAdvisor contact. He hired me to wash his driveway and patio. He moved his family into a bigger house and got the annual check-in email. Wants to get his house washed. $16 will turn into around a $1000 in two years.

They’re your leads forever. 90% of the battle is following up and showing up.

Last year

This year

So two jobs over two years if I’d never won another job payed for most of my leads over that two year time frame. If I’d only won 1 of the commercial leads I’d be up anywhere from $7,000-$30,000…

Man, I hate HomeAdvisor. :joy:
