Was thinking about hiring a sales rep. For those of you guys that have them, what’s the commission rate you start them at?
Depends on your sales level, and what you have figured into your pricing, honestly. Typically, about 10%, but if they’re doing “outside” sales, and self-generated leads those are closer to 20%. We moved all of ours into the office to be CSRs, and pay them hourly with a 10% bonus on sales beyond their sales target for the week/month.
