Your pictures didn’t show up on my end, send me a picture if you can. I just went through that whole process few days ago. Best bet is to contact Russ at Southside Equipment 1 (888) 243-6506. I had my parts in 3 days from ordering. If you want to you can send the picture to my cell or email me. 1-434-251-4114, matthewbadkins@yahoo.com

Hey Jeremy-- that looks like a thermal relief valve where if the Pump starts to get hot that valve will pop so the hot water can escape the pump which then allows the pump to draw water from the feed line. I stopped using those on my pumps after I set up everything to be able to run in bypass. Some guys swear by those little valves to be used in conjunction with bypass just in case but I dont think it’s necessary.

So my question to you is this-- Are your pumps set up to run in bypass when you stop squeezing the trigger on your Powerwashing gun?

That’s what it looks like. There pretty cheap. Thermoshield Thermal Relief Valve 3/8 Inch from PowerWash.com

Yep that looks about right…

Yep that’s what it appears to be, hopefully that’s all it is.

Jeremy those valves are cheap. Buy a couple because you are using a machine that can’t be bypassed to a tank and the pumps heat up fast, if you don’t pull the trigger within two minutes. If you see that valve leaking , replace it. It will burn out your unloader and your pump. I have the same machine and I am on my third pump.

Also that is a 1/2" thermal valve not a 3/8"

Oh and mine came with a Comet pump. It looks like a general. If you buy a replacement, make sure it doesn’t have a built in unloader. You can’t bypass to a tank with a built in unloader.
