Help - does this layout look right?

I can call it permanent, but it is their observation vs mine. The way I look at it, I would rather just take the extra 5 minutes and “follow the rules.” With my luck, the gas station would be filled with 10 potential customers, I would get in an argument/debate with the attendant and it would look really bad in their eyes. I know the chances of this happening are slim to nil, but I don’t want to take the chance. Besides, come summer, the cars are three deep at all pumps anyway - what’s another 5 minutes? I try my best not to get worked up about things. I’d rather just be prepared for proper procedure.

Could a auick connect usd for marine applications for? They are super easy

Agreed, and on the list of things to purchase when I go to 2 machines.

Mine came with quick connect fuel lines. I will try to get a pic and upload it in the morning.

Only thing that jumps out at me is to make sure you seal and externally vent your chem tank, so your rig doesn’t rust out from the fumes.

Place the gas tank under the pw. Make a bracket

Looks like we have the same vehicle. Is that a 14’ box?

I like the layout. I wish I had installed side hatches on mine. I wouldn’t make anything to permanent till you know you like it. I spent 2 weeks setting up my truck just to find stuff I wish I had done different 2 weeks later.

Yep, 14’ box truck.

I hear ya about the setup part. I’m thinking I’m driving myself unnecessarily crazy. I feel like, come on man enough thinking about it and just do it. April is too close for my comfort, so it’s time to put the plan into action.

Although, I don’t doubt for a second that you are right - whatever I end up doing, I’m gonna wish I did it differently later on. But, hopefully business does great and I’m building another one to add to the business next year

Check out Marine quick connects. They are two barb connectors used on almost any boat with a portable fuel tank. You could throw a squeeze bulb in line to prime when switching tanks too. Using that would also allow you to have several tanks full of fuel on hand to swap out during the day until you can do a permanent tank.

I think two 5 gallon gas cans is your only option. Unless you make friends with a gas attendant. I use the same gas station everyday. The guys know me and will fill my cans in my trailer or truck bed. I usually pull the hose and pump so they can deal with other customers. You won’t get that at Wawa though.

Install a filler neck from a junk yard and run it to an aluminum gas tank, tell attendant truck has 2 fuel tanks from factory.

Nice. I also have a 14’ old uhaul truck.

Yeah, you just gotta go for it. imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.
I’m a perfectionist so I know how hard it is to just go for it.

I would say with what you have you are off to a good start :+1:

The easiest solution is top move to a state that doesn’t have unions o you can pump your own dadgum gas

Ha. Yeah, I don’t really get it here - was pumping my moms gas when I was 7 years old in PA. Oh well.

On the bright side, I guess having to fill up too often will be a good thing.

Just an update…

Got the access door cut and installed.

Power washer will be bolted to floor where it is located in the following pictures (with rubber feet).

I think the reels will go where they are pictured - I want to put them as close to the wall as possible but still need at access ds injector (thinking of removing when surface cleaning). The top reel is water supply (I will be removing swivel and keeping as backup - it is not a live reel). The bottom reel is pressure hose - ds injector will be on wall side (doubt I have to mention that, but I did). Thoughts anyone???

I think the fuel tank will be mounted where pictured. Again, thoughts/concerns/comments???

Nice. Slide the ramp out and replace it with a ladder

I saw you did that in your rent-a-truck rebuilds - was really nice. You think I can do the same? I haven’t looked into on the truck yet, but I would love to do that.

Anything is possible. I had to do some cutting top get mine to work.

ok. I’m gonna check it out and see if it will work. Ladders is a question I have bouncing around my head. What size ladder were you able to fit under you trucks?

32 on the 16 foot box truck. 10 foot box trucks just had 28’s hanging on the side
