Hello from Atlanta, GA

Hello all

Thought I’d introduce myself here, I’ve been reading this forum for quite some time but have never posted. Great place to learn from, spent countless hours researching things here. We work in the north atlanta area, houses washes, driveways, sidewalks, all the usual stuff. Just started getting some nice weather here, calls are trickling in, feels god to be back at work again.

Welcome Aaron.

How long have you been washing?

We woke up to four inches of snow on the ground with maybe that much again expected today.

Oh joy.

Thanks Tim. We’ve been in business since last May. I used to paint and do pressure washing back when I was in high school and college, worked in a corporate setting for 13 years, it’s so nice being my own boss and getting to work outside again.

We had snow and ice a few weeks ago, completely crippled the city, just amazing what 3 inches of snow does to an area that isn’t prepared.

Welcome aboard fellow Atlantan. I’m on the south side. I’ve got it covered down here so stay on the north side.
I’m just kidding. Give me a call or pm if you have any questions.
Hopefully this weather will hold out and we can start rollin.

Welcome, Aaron. If you actually make your signature a link back to your site, you will obtain some SEO benefit, whenever you post here making you more likely to be found on Google.

Welcome fellow georgian, glad we survived the near apocalypse of the south a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the tip. I need all the SEO I can get. Looks like the forum won’t let you add a link until you hit 10 posts.

Ah, yes. I forgot that. I can see you have 2 H1 titles on your website, which is bad for SEO. On your website, it would also be good if you made a new page for each location you target, though it might seem like a lot of work, it would help you rank more easily.

I’m having a lot of trouble getting my website to rank well. I did it myself last summer in an effort to save some money. Is there a good guide out there that helps the non-developer people like myself figure this stuff out?

Your website isn’t that well optimized either, so it doesn’t surprise me.

I would take a look at this guide if you are very determined to do it yourself:
SEO: The Free Beginner?s Guide From Moz

I haven’t read it, but moz.com is very well respected.

Might be time to let a pro work on it, my head is spinning from reading about SEO.

Welcome! Go Dawgs!

Thanks Jeff, I’ll get in touch with you when I have some questions.

Good to see some GA people on the board!
