Gray Neptune 100' prices

Anyone know who has the best prices on gray Neptune? Just doing driveways etc and as little work as I am doing (new to the game) not sure if I should just get the Pressure Pro R1 AH 325 for 115 shipped or get the Neptune. You daily Drivers will say Neptune I am sure. If so what is the best price you have seen online?

Thanks.

IDK for sure but I just got an email from Water Cannon saying they are having a big hose sale.

is this the hose? http://www.watercannon.com/p-7017-100-foot-pressure-washer-hose-4000psi-gray-non-marking-38mpt-ends-quick-connects.aspx

I would not call 175 dollars a big sale…Several places have it at 140 you just don’t know how much the shipping is…Does any other mfg use this hose under a different name?

Water Cannon is basically charging 35 dollars for shipping if this falls under their usual free shipping policy.

Wonder what United charges…they don’t put their prices on the website. They sell pre mfgd sizes from 25 to 200.

Thanks…

Man. You love tripping over pennies on your way to dollars. I understand cost control completely, but $35 is 10% of a single job and spread out over 10 jobs that hose is going to cost you $3.50 extra. Over 100 jobs it’s $.35.

Anyway, I actually just got done calling United hose to order a 225 foot 3/8 inch gray non-marking hose, but had to leave a message. From what IBS said they charge about a dollar a foot

I take coupons to Restaurant’s and a penny saved is a penny earned. Did not make my first million at 36 by blowing cash. Plus I am Pressure Washing for free in the Golf Community I live as there is a dude who lives here who charges 100 a driveway so I an matching that and having the clients cut the check to St. Jude’s…He will be out of biz soon and then I can gear up big time and take on the 6 companies that are in a 30 mile radius.

If I were making a thousand a day that’s one thing…but when I am doing it for free it’s another.

Four times

I replied to you in your other thread with info about them. $240 shipped for 200 feet and a 6 ft. jump hose. They threw in 2 jumpers for me.

Try calling first thing in the morning. If i called between 8 and 9 they picked up the phone. Anytime after that i always got voicemail.

It’s a free economy and everyone can set their own rates but that is about the crappiest example of being a human being I have seen in a long time. If you want to donate to St Judes and flaunt your greatness, fine. But why run a person trying to make a living out of business while doing it? Maybe I’m missing something.

+1 @Innocentbystander. I thought the same thing, but figured I must have misread something. Surely @xlr8tion wasn’t actually doing that…

@xlr8tion There’s two things I’ve learned:

  1. You argue with your wife a lot.

  2. Even investing in a business that you say is for charitable causes, you won’t invest “that much”. Why wouldn’t you invest in more and better equipment to do more driveways on donation under a 501(c)?

Btw my girlfriend will argue to the death that I’m the cheapest dude alive, but I still see the value in spending a dime to make $10. I would assume that a millionaire could care less about $35 knowing he could parlay that into $3500 for a cause he cares about.

It’s your business. And when awesomewash1 says he’s losing big money by walking to the truck to turn off soap I don’t understand that either. Maybe I think differently about business and numbers and I’m completely wrong.

I don’t talk about it, but 5% of every dollar I make went to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, St. Jude’s, or Habitat For Humanity, but most recently we’ve committed to donating the 5% to helpdiego.com. Which reminds me I need to pay him for September.

But if it meant being able to donate $1000 instead of $800 at a cost of $35 I wouldn’t think twice.

Just my one cent because I’m too cheap to give you two.

They had all their hoses on sale. I haven’t bought any from them since I bought my PW so I have no frame of reference. Just thought I’d throw out there that they were advertising the hose sale. I know they price match too. I do like to buy from Power Wash because they are local and I think it is advantageous to have a relationship with a local guy since I can pick up anything I need on short notice. They also give me a 5% military discount and have let me have samples of different products when I have been there asking them questions about different chemicals.

Err…the neighbor that lives in a 600K home and is a multimillionaire- is charging 100 dollars.

Let us look at this effect on the 6 companies he is undercutting and depriving them of revenue. He is undercutting the guys that need to do this to make a living.

I do it for the same price and have the people donate the money to St. Jude’s. Whether they do that is between them and God. So I am doing it for the same rate but hoping to draw his clients away via the idea of their payment going to a good cause… Childhood cancer.

@Innocentbystander…your opinion of me is irrelevant as I am not competing against you.

Judge all you want. I do not care. You are too focused on a false premise as both myself and the neighbor I am competing against are not doing this to make a living or pay the bills.

What would you do if all your competitors undercut the going rate by 75 per cent?

I am just getting out and providing a service and allowing the client the option to donate the money… I donate a few hours of time and 10 dollars of gas and they donate the money on their own- I just provide a stamped addressed envelope. My competitor has a 2 month wait list so I am hardly taking food from his mouth.

Just cause I ask people to pay St. Jude’s has no impact on anyone in this forum.

I may be focused on the cost of things as that is my nature. So is my choice not to seek profit til I scale up comnercial.

Who is anyone to judge anyone else.

That is God’s job

@squidskc You need to separate humor from fact. I assume you ascertained your first
statement from the hobbies thread. I was kidding for Lords Sake.

I won’t say how much I donate but it’s far in excess of what the Bible says I should Tithe.
I will tell you it costs me nearly twice what you paid for your new rig for a week in Central America to drill a well or 2.5 times that for the 6 Compassion kids I sponsor.

It’s pretty straightforward …if you do 95 per cent for yourself you do 5 per cent for others and vice versa.

There is no greater rush than being charitable and no greater sadness than being selfish.

We all find our balance in between.

Such the Oracle you are. I am unaffected by your cult of personality.

Look at the original post. It was fine till it got kicked off topic.
