Dang , that’s up there Coop !

ikr, can’t even see the roof from anywhere on the ground!

You probably had to low crawl and drag your hoses up that hill!

I’ll trade you. It’s 50 degrees and 20 mile an hour winds here today. Luckily it’s a smaller 2 story and a good size driveway.

Add about 20’ to the height of the back side of that house and you’re looking at my day-to-day routine. The mountains are great, but they can be a pain to work in!

@Atlas1, this house was so high, a darn eagle tried to mate with me

… well did you feel… patriotic? Afterwards?

It was because coop is bald and flighty. The American bald eagle took a shine to him I’m thinking. Nothing to do with the height I reckon…

I’ll tell you a funny story about taxes, I’m a registered Republican but am far more Libertarian minded, I dont care who you marry, or if you want to smoke pot as an adult that’s up to you. I want to be left alone, and not taxed to death and shoot my evil black rifles in peace.
Now to the Tax part, on 4/4/04 or Black Sunday as it became known I was part of the QRF that went out to rescue a group of soldiers that got ambushed in Sadr City Baghdad. It was a cluster F of epic proportions that I wont go into here. What was supposed to be a fast evacuated turned into a 4 day firefight. When your a Medic and almost out of ammo things have truly gone to hell in a handbasket. Anyway my squad of 8 were surrounded on top of a flat roof house with easily 3 times our number of Muqtadas rejects trying to blast us off. We got on the radio and requested fire support from anybody in the area. Two Apaches answered the call and spent the next 30 minutes hammering the hell out of everything surrounding us. Both of them went home Black on ammo, that’s 8 hellfire missiles, something like 30 2.75 rocket’s and more nose gun ammo than I could count EACH. The way I figure it I’ll never if I live to be a 100 years old pay enough in taxes to cover what one of those machines expended. And that was just one engagement… so I try really really hard to remember that day when I pay my taxes. It still hurts, but …

National Geographic made a damn miniseries out of the whole thing I’ve sat down to watch it 4 or 5 times now and just can’t do it. Supposed to be pretty good though https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079C3PS99/ref=atv_dp_ep_of_dp_0
