General pump specs for softwash/12V application

Got a tank, getting a battery - but will this pump do for reaching gutters/eaves?

Also, suppliers have been saying to use 10mm hose instead of 12mm(1/2”) because of self priming and the hose length?

(I plan for 40m / 130’ or is that too long for an electric pump?)

Delavan 12V pump - 11.4lpm 100psi

FEATURES:

  • 11.4 lpm (that’s 3GPM!) open flow 400kPa (100psi) demand switch
  • Quick attach ports 3/8" barb elbow
  • Self priming up to 4 metres
  • Santoprene diaphragm
  • Viton valves
  • 5 chamber positive displacement pump capable of being run dry
  • Supplied with 2 pin electrical connector
  • Australian supplier

If you nozzle it down u can easily reach eaves and gutter if required, I’m using a garden hose trigger spray atm because I’m mostly post treating and it wont throw up that high but has a good fan, my pump is 4gpm@60psi with 50m of 10mm.
My weed sprayer on my tractor has a tiny 1.6gpm and the 2mm 0deg jet goes 40ft so I’m sure with correct orifice sizing to your pump it will be awesome.

Thanks man :+1:t2:

I got my pump from soft wash Australia for about $250, it is a 7gmp@60psi I run up to 60 meters of 12mm garden hose with a J-rod on the end, still going strong after 18 months. Easily shoots to the top of 2 stories as long as you don’t have a strong wind.

Thanks Steve - that’s great info :+1:t2:

What’s the pump make/model?

I resent the American public school system, and whoever decided that we shouldn’t convert to SI units years ago, for the fact that this thread boggles me…

Try this nozzle. I read several PWer techs recommend it. It should be available at a local hw store. :+1:
