Gas Water Pump for Water Reclamation?

Hey everyone.

Looking for a better way to keep water out of the storm drains than using a 15 gallon wet vac (takes way to long). Was looking a the Honda WB30XT or similar models. Looks like they could easily handle the water, but will they be able to handle all the dirt and grime? Anyone else use something similar? Looks like it would be way cheaper that the vacuum systems that I see if they work well.

Cheers,

B

I use this but we usually don’t have to move much water

Do a search for trash pump - can get at NT or Harbor Freight

I’ve never seen one of those before in my life… looks super interesting. Work well?

There’s your coupon code for Harbor Freight.

The construction company I was washing for was using the predator trash pumps. They were actually using one to pull dirty water out of the pool was I was washing the pool deck into it before they tiled. Multi million dollar construction company using HF pumps.

I saw a couple and got curious. Only $170 I think. Great reviews.

y, the 2" will pump 150+ gpm I believe and the 3" like 290gpm. I looked into getting one for a fence job where I had to have a couple of extra totes filling while I was cleaning and too far to pull hose. Was looking for a quick way to transfer the water to my trailer tank. They’re nice little compact units.

Ended up going with a sludge pump though because I could use for a bunch of different things and easy to carry on my trailer. But only pumps about 80 gpm which still isn’t too bad.

Yea works good, was recommended on here a few years back by one of the big dogs, so i tried it out

The pressure shooting up will pop a hole in your drain line so you gotta keep the elbow higher up. I’ll post a pick later.
