That looks like an asphalt base that they will top coat later. The sidewalks around the building, the gas pump area, and likely the dumpster pad will all be crete. Asphalt gets real dirty too, lots of gum, cigarette butts, trash, food stuff splattered all over, and in my area snuff or chewing tobacco wads.
There will be a bit of concrete there. WAWA is a big co, if you get one you could get more. They are huge in NJ, one like every mile it seems..
