For anyone here that has used a brokerage

I just got quoted to forward my freight to canada from a vendor in illinois $650! For three 45 lbs boxes totaling $1180 (Hose reels and SS Fittings). Seems ridiculous I have to pay half the price of the order just for them to ship it to me. Plus I have to pay the vendor to ship it to them lol. Is this normal pricing or do I need a new brokerage? Normally I pick the stuff up myself in North Dakota but obviously cant go across the border right now.

Order from a Canadian site instead?

I would love to but we have about 10% of the selection you guys have and I just can’t get everything I need.

What sites have you tried? I’m in Canada

Pressurewashersonline.ca seems to be the only one with a decent amount of stuff aimed directly at our industry. Any others you know of?

Bigshotsupplies.ca
Greencanpump.ca
There’s more out there if you do a little bit of searching.

Checking in from New Brunswick with a shameless plug because I found fellow Canucks on the forum!

Canadian cleaners that are having trouble getting supplies should check us out at Easy Kleen! We have a large parts catalogue and if there’s something you’ll need consistently that we don’t stock already, we are willing to start. Send me an email at alocke@easykleen.com if you’d like and we can chat some more about it!

Is there any difference in price when buying directly from you vs in store at places like princess auto?

The biggest difference is that we can customize your machine to be exactly how you’d like it, while our dealers only carry our catalogue machines. Most machines you find at places like Princess Auto will be our homeowner models. They can carry any machines from our line though, so it’s possible you’d find a more commercial machine there. They don’t tend to stock many of those though.

Only other difference really is that buying at a dealer you’ll get to see the stuff in person before you purchase, which some people like. Price would be the same whether you buy from me at the head office, or from one of our dealers though!

In that case, your products are extremely overpriced from what I’ve seen. No offense to you personally I understand you don’t control pricing.
