I was stationed in Korea twice during my 21 years in the Army. The first time I did not venture out to eat any of the food. Second time, I ate about everything they had. I can say I absolutely love beef and pork bulgogi, cucumber kimchi and a bunch of other side dishes. So I decided to try my hand at some Korean food.

You have a resemblance to Andrew Zimmerman (Bizarre Foods). Do you share the same interest in eating totally inedible nasty crap?

Never seen the show. I’m not extremely adventurous when it comes to food. That was one of the reasons I never ate anything the first time I was there. I wish I did though, because the food is amazing.

You should try balut also the drink sojun is pretty easy to get here. You can drink it straight but be careful its not hard to drink to much :joy::joy::joy:

What is Sojun? Or did you add the n on accident? I love me some soju. Put a shot in with my beer (mekju) and that is called Somaek. I drank a lot of that while I was there

And HELL NO would I ever try Balut or anything crazy like that.

Soju is one of those sneak up on you drinks too. You can drink a bottle or two and be fine, until you get up to piss and next thing you know you are looking up at the lights

Ya soju lol. I did and a accent :joy::joy:. Dont knock balut until you try it. Just eat it in the dark and you will be fine.

Very impressive. Growing up I had a Korean friend and his grandma would make us some killer bulgogi.
