Happy Father’s Day Everyone!! I got a Fitbit for Father’s day. My wife has one and last week she helped me two days. Said she wanted to do some physical labor and burn some caliores. We did a barn the house and the roof and driveway. @ the end of both days her watch told her you nailed it!! Forget how many steps but it was up there.

I think they come preprogrammed to say “nailed it” and shoot off fireworks at 10k steps. You can adjust them to go off at other intervals or for other achievements instead of step counts. My wife and I have been using fit bits for years, but recently I stopped wearing them as I just crack the screens too often banging my wrist on something while working. My wife loves hers, and when I used to wear mine, I enjoyed seeing just how much I was moving each day.
You may be able to get a pedometer app for your phone.

Dang @garry.cooper I would rather be beat with a dirty diaper than eat there!! If you would have had a Fitbit on bet your heart rate would have went up after eating there🤪

@PPWofLexSC sure I’ll crack it in no time. I’m not to tech savvy but my wife is and she loves hers to. The doctor went up on my sleep meds the other day and mentioned since I’m self pay to get a Fitbit instead of getting the sleep study thing done.
iPhone’s have tracked physically activity (steps) since the iPhone 7 under the built in “Health” app.

I prefer the reliability of an iPhone. The Androids never impressed me. My daughter had one and it was a pain to deal with.

I guess it’s all what you’re use to. I I switched to iPhone a long while back when the 6 came out because my wife and daughter had iphones. I eventually upgraded to the 7 and then went to the Galaxy after that. I just couldn’t get use to the iPhone. Plus, it seemed like they wanted to charge you for everything else. They even put a low amount of storage on your phone so you had to pay for the cloud. Plus, they make it to where you can’t insert a sd card. Once again so you have to pay for additional storage. I’ve never had any issues with the Galaxy but the iPhone would freeze up on occasion or just run super slow. That was probably around the time iPhone was screwing their customers by slowing their phone down trying to get them to buy an upgrade. I’ll definitely stick to Droid. They seem a lot easier to mess around with. I’m not all into tech stuff though and only use the basics on my phone. Phone, text, email, google, maps, calendar, weather bug, and an app to run my thermometer when smoking a brisket and Markate. That’s all I need.

Yeah same for me. I’ve never had an issue with the iphones. But my daughters edge plus and her tablet were a pain. If it works and it’s not a pain I’m into it.

What are you some fortune 500 company or afraid some up and coming pressure washer is going to steal your guarded house wash mix recipe? 
I don’t think I’ve ever been hacked using my Android device. Can’t say I really know how any of that crap works anyways.

I’m just saying if you like the pretty iphones, I’m not judging, they’re just not for me. Some guys like decorating, some like fashion or race cars I’m not judging 
Couldn’t care less about the mix recipes, I’ll give people multiple copies lol. I don’t know what the heck i would do if I lost my whole data base of customers, it would be like starting fresh again, let’s be honest no one keeps a book of records anymore. It’s all digital, the more layers of protection the better in any situation.
But they work better as well garry, faster, longer battery life, quicker online shopping for fashionable clothing. Ask marinegrunt
