> ClaytonK I have a Ingersoll Rand 13 HP 30 gallon @ 90 psi I have 24 cfm. I only got this one because it was a great deal otherwise I was going to get the Harbor Freight air compressor. I know a lot of roof cleaners that use them and swear by them. I run a Yamada 1" Kynar AODD pump for the last year and haven’t had one problem yet. At the end of each day i run fresh water through the whole system to flush it out even though it is a Kynar pump. Any question on setting it up feel free to ask, glad to help…

Who did you buy your pump from?

Atlas1 believe it or not you can get those pumps on ebay… I use 3/4" hose but I sure do miss the 5/8"…3/4" hose gets heavy after pulling it around on the roof all day. 3/4" hose is the standard for all 1" AODD pumps.

Thanks for the info! If you had it to do over, would you just stick with a 1/2" pump? Or is the extra weight of the 3/4 hose worth it?

Also, is it poly braid hose that you’re using, or something else?

I still have my first 1/2" pump I use it to transfer chemicals into my mix tank. The 1" gives you the option on how much you want to crank up the spraying power, I wouldn’t go back… My spray hose is Kuritec from Pressure Washer Products.

I got mine on Ebay as well. These pumps can last forever especially considering they were built to work much harder than what we do to them.

That is very true…Being Kynar pumps they say that you don’t even need to rinse them, we do daily though.

Mroberts are you using a ball valve or did you find a 3/4 trigger gun? I can’t seem to find anything but 1/2" trigger guns.

Cool. Thank you for the info. How do you like using the ball valve as opposed to a trigger gun?

it takes some getting use to it, but once you figure it out you will love it. You can control the flow from the ball valve while on the roof

We use a 1/2 inch pvc ball valve and an 18inch pvc riser on our fatboy setup. Haven’t used guns in a few years.
