Just did my first roof wash. It was about 3,000 Sq feet of roof when accounting for pitch. 1) I went through 34 gallons of 12.5% SH, does that sound right? 2) The lichen for sure looked white when I was up there spraying. In my walk through at the end, and then going back this morning, the lichen looks brown. Is it dead? I was shooting between 5.5-6% Thanks guys
Ive only cleaned 2 roofs myself with about a 4-5% mix and thats what happened with mine, moss and lichen turned white at first and then turned to brown.

So the brown lichen is nothing to worry about? I keep seeing white in videos
One i cleaned last fall took over the winter for it to come off and the one I did about 6 weeks ago still has some on it but the black mold cleaned up fast.
If it’s brown it’s coming down, black and you’re going to go back.
