I think shaft is fine. You’ve barely run the thing. Takes a good bit of force to bend a shaft like that. Looks like maybe the retainer didn’t get seated all the way in. Anyway, just slide it back on. Consider it practice if you need to change in the future. You’ve got pics dated now if you have any trouble with it in the future.
Anyway, get it back lined up and tightened and I think you’re good to go.
In all the research I did before finally making a decision, I was confident that this would be good. I know it can be chalked up to *&^% happens and I might be fine in the long run, it’s just frustrating to someone new to the game as my ignorance is probably clouding my thought process.
I get that you feel wronged by PP I would probably just shake my head at crappie workmanship. Then I would spend the 1 minute to fix it and get back to work. That looks like an H bushing.
Loosen up set screw on shaft key then back out the 3 bolts in front probably 10mm . Only back them off about 1/8 inch. Then with a mallet and a piece of wood or something soft tap the part the belts are on. The two pieces will separate 1/8 “ then the whole assembly will move as one. Continue to tap until the belts are straight. Then retighten the 3 bolts and set screw on shaft key. do not tap hard and do not over tighten
Set screw and all 3 bolts on the pulley were not very tight. I lined up the pulleys and tightened everything. Used it for about 45 minutes on my house…pulled cover and no movement. I’ll keep an eye on it but I think it will be fine.
