Just had a potential customer reach out and asked if I can fix these stains. I don’t know exactly what to do here, figured I’d see if anyone here could offer some advice. Thx.
Does the customer know what the stain is from?
Were the top and bottom boards stained or are they natural cedar? Just trying to think of what the stains could be.
Looks like the neighbor or them, stained one side or tried to do the top and bottom rail and it leaked thru to me. If so, suggest they stain their side too, or get new boards or sue the neighbor, or look into the mirror at a dummy, lol.

That’s what I was thinking too. I’m not sure what else it could be.

Top definitely looks like an oil-based stain to me
