Frozen bottle of water to roll my foot on, dragging towels with my toes, I’ve done all that stuff and I still find it easier to just drag with the pain and hop around at the house. Fortunately it doesn’t effect me during the day when I’m working

I’ll have to try that water bottle technique. And yeah it’s all good as long as I stay busy but sit down for 30 minutes and she’s locked up solid when I stand up. Gonna see a doctor about it this winter and see what they think.

I got the boot and have tried to sleep with it but it’s rough

There’s a boot? Never seen one. Wouldn’t work for me anyhow. I can’t even sleep in socks unless I’m sick then I slather my feet in Vicks and put long socks on.

I’ve also tried a soft version of that work Velcro but it sucks also.

There’s no way I could fall asleep with that contraption on lol

I’ve never made it more than an hour. It does help though.

I’ve never had to deal with Plantar Fasciitis myself, but I’ve seen people I know find complete relief of symptoms by using “barefoot” minimalist style shoes, which have zero drop from heel to toe, thin flexible soles, and minimal support for the foot and ankle itself.
It took several months of use, but it worked 100% for them.

Seems counter intuitive, but the basic premise is it allows the foot to become stronger over time. If you try this, you may need to bring regular shoes with you at first, it can take some time to get used to this style of shoe and you might need to swap out of them after half a day at first.

I can’t say it will help everyone suffering with this issue, but then again it may work great for you like it did the 2 people I know.

Boots like these:
Xcursion Fusion - Men - Xero Shoes

Tracker Forest Esc Mens (vivobarefoot.com)

Home — Broadwinger

Minimalist Thula Thula - Russell Moccasin Co.

I can’t speak for how they would hold up washing all day, you would probably still need the rubber boots while on the hose if you wanted them to last at all.

Food for thought, hope that helps you guys.

i got the plantar fascitis once, and an once whefe it was gonna flare andnmaybe did a tiny bit but that was it. I brought it on myself breaking 2x4s, and kinda injured foot a bit thst same day. But a few weeks later it reared its head. I opted to use a cane it was so bad. felt like my heel was on fire and rounded. I thought, this is it, this is the way its gonna be feom now on. Then I took ibuprofren 800mg religiously for a week or 2 and it slowly went away. the 2nd time it was at disney.

Leave it to you old goats to turn a thread about boots into a symposium on foot problems and ibuprofen :rofl:.

I’m sure I wont be laughing when my bones start making deer noises and I’m getting socks for Christmas but for now I’ll enjoy it!

Hell I’m not even that old. I just turned 30 a couple months ago.

I do feel old sometimes though. But I don’t get up in the middle of the night to pee so I’m not old.

I always thought you were older because of the old man in your profile picture :joy:

One of my customer’s boys answered the door last week and said “yes sir?” I’m 22 and look like I could be 18. I was a little shaken up

That’s just to fit his personality…and you had better stay off of his lawn!

:rofl::rofl: The kid your age at the coffee shop drive thru called me sir the other day and I was 1) impressed because kids hese days have no damn manners and 2) shocked because before long I’ll be the old man on the block and sir will become commonplace.

Damn right. Just finished mowing that lawn. And I don’t need strangers coming round scaring off all my deer. Got a big doe bedding down every afternoon right across the fence in the woods and I need her to keep coming round for a while.
