Didnt know you could do this

Came across a unit, and i was intrigued…

What intrigued you?

I’m intrigued how it never caught fire.

I guess, it is just new to me were the pressure gauge is placed

They make valve caps that are threaded for pressure gauges I run them on all machines

Never seen them

Now if i place it on the pump the reading will not accurate as if placed on the hose… now at the beginning or end?..
Dont really care about precise reading, a 100 diff wont affect me,
But would it affect the pump?
Never done this. So i am looking for pros-cons

Some do it some don’t I had one on one of my old pumps a while back and It was an easy way to see that the health of the pump was declining. I have one on QC now and just check the pressure whenever I service the machine. I keep a record of it in the maintenance log.

I am trying to add one to my machines but I’m having trouble removing the valve caps. I tried a monkey wrench didn’t work though… how did you remove yours and what size are they I have a general pump. Mi t m

Only use a socket to take those off, or your strip the soft brass. I think they are a 30mm
