Did I mess up?

Sooner or later it will be changed. Non binary QC

Honestly, the day that happens is the day I leave this business.

Okay, since I don’t want to fool with your livelihood, I feel obligated to tell you that I was just yanking your chain. No need to postpone a job over one $5 fitting. Use two females if you need to

If its a rush. You can get the fitting from a box store like lowes. They wouldn’t have stainless but brass would get you by while waiting for shipment. Someone correct if im wrong. I know brass won’t be a permanent solution.

So I could use two females?

Not a bad choice for starter equipment whatsoever. You’ll make plenty of money and can upgrade later.

Yeah, it doesn’t matter if you have a female on opposite ends of the hose.

I’ve asked this before, and the consensus is that you need a buffer tank to run anything over 4gpm, if that’s not the case then I will buy a 5.5 today. I have the HP to drive it but I don’t have room for a buffer tank.

Correct. You’d want a buffer on 5.5. No reason to risk your water flow slowing down for some reason then no buffer suddenly your pump is starved. Especially an issue if your working with wells.

Okay, sorry for derailing this thread, but what if I told you that I never do any well water houses?

Ideally if space wasn’t an issue you would run a tank on a 4gpm as well to future proof for a pump upgrade later on down the track, if space is going to be a long term issue the 4gpm really is the 8gpm of the tankless setups.
